San Jose Sweeps Week 5 Road Trip, Extends Win Streak To Four Games

The San Jose Spiders (4-1) continued their remarkable stretch of play this weekend, winning back-to-back games on the road to extend their winning streak to four games. On April 28, they beat the Seattle Cascades (2-1) 27-26 on a last second buzzer beater from Chuck Cao to Alec Surmani. San Jose followed up the next day with a convincing 28-22 victory over the Vancouver Riptide (0-4).

Justin Norden continued his torrid start to the 2017 season, throwing 122 completions (96 percent) and 13 assists, as well as catching eight goals and playing 54 points, all team highs over the two game road trip. Norden now has 32 assists, 298 completions (96 percent), and 11 goals through five games this season.

The Spiders have scored at least 24 goals in each of their five games this season.
